Veiled Solidity is a 9” x 12” drawing made with colored pencils. I started it in 2020 and finished in 2025. The time it took to finish might seem excessive, but I worked on it on and off as I navigated COVID, nursing school, college graduation, being a new grad in the nursing feild, and just life. A reason this drawing is so special to me is because I started it in my early 20’s and it followed me into my late 20’s. I changed a lot throughout those years, and so did this drawing. This drawing represents womanhood, strength, sadness, achievements, and the beautiful difficulties of being a Latina in the US.
